The Moon's a Pinched Out Sliver of a Nickel

The moon's a pinched out sliver of a nickel
Striped wings of a sailboat
Ride against the dappled sea
Swimmers slide beneath the surface
Clouds of gray are tinged with twilight
Flames are burning in the dusk by palm trees
Birds are silent in the softness
Riding in the cradle of the wind
The mountains blend into the sea
The sea becomes the shore
Shadows fill the silver waters
Night descends once more
